Flinders University's Sustainability Plan On Friday Flinders officially launched the addition of almost 6000 new solar panels (on rooftops and covering car park 3) and our Sustainability Plan to 2025. The Plan uses the ideas from students, staff and the Flinders community provided as part of the month long consultation in 2018. This year's priorities are available in the 2019-20 action plan. IndoFest 28 AprilIndofest is a cultural, food, dance and music festival which brings Indonesia to the heart of Adelaide. Go on a journey through the diverse cultures of the archipelago through interactive food, music and craft demonstrations from the local Indonesian community and visiting artists. Walk for JusticeOn Tuesday 21 May, 20 Flinders Law students will be taking part in the Walk for Justice to raise funds for JusticeNet SA - an organisation that provides free legal assistance to hundreds of disadvantaged South Australians every year. It's a cause student Sara Shahin is extremely passionate about."This cause is important to me as it assists the most disadvantaged in our community. As a future legal professional, I strongly believe in raising funds and awareness to support those less fortunate than us." - Sara. Lowitja O'Donoghue OrationYou're invited to the Don Dunstan Foundation's 13th annual Lowitja O'Donoghue Oration - a showcase focusing on reconciliation, storytelling, culture and the arts. Held during Reconciliation Week, this year's oration will be delivered by David Rathman AM PSM FIML. David has extensive experience in broadcasting, Aboriginal community development, and Aboriginal education. Date: Tuesday 28 May. Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Indigenous student supportThe Yunggorendi Student Engagement Team provides support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This includes academic, pastoral and financial support and advocacy, counselling, scholarships, a culturally safe study space, social activities and more. Balancing work and studyNow you've settled in to the semester, you might be looking for part-time work. Or, if you already have a job, you may be thinking about picking up some extra hours. As part-time work can affect your studies, it's important you balance work and study well. If you don't, it can impact your academic results and grade point average. It may also add to the duration (and expense) of your course. Here are some things to keep in mind when balancing study and part-time work:

FUSA Says RelaxFUSA Says Relax is an initiative of Student Council, funded by your Student Services Amenities Fee (SSAF). Chill out on campus with free food and soothing services. There are lots of freebies which include music, massages, hairdressing, and stationery (it varies each time). Relax dates and times: Plaza/Hub, Sturt Library, Medical Library, Tonsley.
