"I’m 22 years old. Having earned a first degree in Biochemistry from a Nigerian University I came to Australia in March 2018, and I have been here for over a year. It’s a big change coming to another country and it is not an easy one from my experience. The journey has not been easy, but it has been worth it.
In the beginning, I wasn't making new friends in class - friends to help me with assignments or even to hang out with. It was a lonely experience at first, even when I was surrounded with so many people. I tried to get jobs to keep me busy and at least have extra cash. I had new experiences, new problems that I would never have experienced in Nigeria. My first year was hard, but it has actually prepared me for now and my goals are in sight.
I am not completely problem free, but I am getting ahead day by day and getting closer to my goal without getting weighed down. In all, I just hope I am able to inspire somebody.
