Multifactor Identification (MFA)

From the 14th December 2020, Multi-Factor Authentication will be required when accessing VirtualApps from off campus.

Announcements

VirtualApps access is moving to Okta on Thursday 29 October 2020 at 17:00. During this change VirtualApps will be unavailable for 2 hours until 19:00. Following this change all users will need to reconfigure their Citrix Workspace App to connect via Okta, the following video and guide show how to do this. If you require assistance, please contact us.

How does this work?

The applications and data remain in the University’s data centres. As such, the virtual applications and desktops are “streamed” to your device, giving you the illusion, they are installed and running on your local device.

This is a secure way of accessing University systems from any device. The only requirement is a supported device connected to the internet.

Current supported devices are:

  • PC running Windows 10
  • MacOS running 10.13 or higher
  • iPad running iOS 10 or higher
  • Android running version 7.0 or higher.

Note: support requests for unsupported devices can only be dealt with on a best effort basis.

I don't see the application I want to use

IDS is focused on publishing applications to VirtualApps that are required for teaching, research and other core university applications at this time.

If you would like to request an application that fits into one of these categories and is not currently listed in the VirtualApps application catalogue below, please log a request via the IDS Service Desk and include any license information.

Adobe Acrobat Pro is PDF software with two licensing options; Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader.

Flinders University has a license agreement with Adobe that allows most, but not all users to access the feature rich Adobe Acrobat Pro.
