How the Flinders Support Network works
Throughout the academic year, students will be contacted by the University through the FSN. Most students will receive an SMS, and some students may also get a phone call or an email. Students who receive an SMS or email will be invited to respond if they want someone to contact them to talk through the support available.
The FSN is a ‘check in’ to give you the opportunity to get more information about the academic, wellbeing and financial support available. Staff can provide more information about how the support services might be able to help you, and can act as a referral point, where needed.
Of course, support services are available to students all year-round and you’re are encouraged to contact these services at any time. The FSN is just a timely reminder.
*Please note to receive SMS communication from the University you need to ensure your mobile number is up-to-date in the Student System (access via Okta). SMS will be sent from the official Flinders University mobile number which is 0438 065 966.
