HASS7010C Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Honours Thesis (4.5/18 units)

This topic is taught and assessed as a continuum.

The thesis is an opportunity for Honours students to engage in a piece of sustained and specific research. The product of this research is a thesis of up to 18,000 words or equivalent artistic practice.

This topic aims to:

• Deepen participants' understanding of critical and/or creative methodologies relevant to their area of specialisation
• Extend students' ability to produce an extended piece of research
• Develop Honours level research and communication skills

2. Defend their capacity to undertake independent research to a high level
4. Produce a major research project within their area of specialisation, including interpreting and applying ethical considerations
6. Integrate sophisticated knowledge in their area of specialisation, including relevant methodologies
