Program of study

To qualify for the Master of Screen and Media Production a student must complete 54 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the following program of study:

Core - Year 1 & 2 topics

27 units comprising:

SCME8001 Screen and Media Production 1, Production (4.5 units)#
SCME8002 Screen and Media Production 2, Post Production (4.5 units)#
SCME8003 Screen and Media Production 3, Minor project (4.5 units)
SCME8004 Screen and Media Production 4, Research and Writing (4.5 units)
SCME9000 Screen and Media Production 5, Advanced Camera Techniques (4.5 units)
SCME9010 Major Project Development and Research (4.5 units)

# Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Screen and Media Production will substitute SCME8001 and SCME8002 with 9 units of Screen and Media option topics (listed below) instead.

Course Rule notes:

1.     Note that students who wish to use their masters qualification to satisfy entry into a Flinders University research higher degree are required to have completed at least an 18 unit postgraduate research component. Students are required to consult with the Topic Coordinator before enrolling in SCME9012 Screen and Media Production Creative Project and Exegesis (18 units). Completion of CREA7100 Understanding Research Methods in the Creative Arts and SCME9010 Major Project Development and Research are also prerequisites for enrolment.

2.     Students should consult with the Course Coordinator if they wish to choose alternative topics as options.
