The Master of Business Administration (Finance) requires the completion of 54-units of study. It can be completed in 1.5 years of full time study (or the equivalent part time). The course is part of the Graduate Program in Business Administration offered by the College of Business, Government and Law.
This specialisation articulates with the 18-unit Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and the 36-unit Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Finance) specialisation, and the sequentially developed topics allow progression through the three awards.
Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma at Flinders University normally receive credit for up to 36 units of topics towards the Masters degree.
Alternatively, students enrolled directly in the Masters program may choose only to meet the requirements for the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma and exit with that qualification.

The course is designed to provide a strong foundation of business knowledge, skills and attitudes to support ethical, global business management of organisations including private sector business organisations, not-for-profit organisations and public organisations. Through experiential learning techniques students will develop knowledge and skills to conduct independent research, carry out industry and discipline related projects, with an emphasis on the finance industry, and relate their learning to their individual business experience.

Students who are admitted to the course under the International English language pathway are required to enrol in one or both of the following English tuition topics based on their IELTS’ entrance score.

To be eligible to complete the requirements of the course, students must complete the required English tuition topics.
Except with the permission of the Director of Studies, enrolment in the English tuition topics must be undertaken concurrently in the first semester of study with core topics BUSN9226Accounting for Managers and BUSN9248 Managing People.
To qualify for the Master of Business Administration (Finance) specialisation, a student must complete 54 units (12 topics) with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below, unless granted credit for previous study.
