The Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education is an 18 unit program offered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work.
Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved higher education institution.
However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education, a student must complete 18 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.
Not all topics necessarily are available in a given year.

EDUC8836 Partnerships, Parents and Participation GE (4.5 units)
EDUC9314 Multimodal Childhoods in the 21st Century (4.5 units)
EDUC9315 STEM Growing a Generation of New Learners (4.5 units)
EDUC9120 Introduction to Teaching and Research in the Education Profession (4.5 units)
EDUC9222 Researching Play and Pedagogies (4.5 units)
EDUC9303 Critical Pedagogies for a Changing World (4.5 units)
