The Master of Data Science requires two years of full time study (or the equivalent part time). The course is offered by the College of Science and Engineering. The course articulates with the Graduate Diploma in Data Science and the sequentially developed topics allows progression through the awards.
Applicants must normally hold an approved Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information technology, ICT-based mathematics, statistics or a closely related discipline; or the Graduate Diploma in Data Science.
Knowledge of second year undergraduate level study in computer science and high school mathematics is assumed.
The Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
