The combined degrees program of Bachelor of Tourism and Events, Bachelor of Arts requires the completion of 144 units of study.
For admission to the program, students must apply for admission to Bachelor of Tourism and Events combined degrees through SATAC.
Eligible students who decide to take up the combined degrees program in a subsequent year will be required to apply through SATAC, or via internal university transfer, for admission to the Bachelor of Arts.
Students enrolled in a combined degree program must complete the full program specified within the combined program for each degree before they can graduate with either award.
Students who commence, but subsequently do not wish to complete, the combined degrees program may be eligible to transfer to either the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Tourism and Events and to receive credit for some or all of the topics already completed.
To qualify for the combined degrees of Bachelor of Tourism and Events/Bachelor of Arts, a student must complete the following program of study with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic:
Topics completed in the Bachelor of International Tourism component cannot also be counted towards the Bachelor of Arts component and vice versa.
To qualify for the Bachelor of Tourism and Events a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or better or NGP in each topic, as follows:

TOUR1101 Introduction to Tourism Studies (4.5 units)
TOUR1102 Interpretation for Tourism (4.5 units)
TOUR1103 Introduction to Events (4.5 units)
TOUR1104 Tourism Portfolio (4.5 units)
18 units comprising:
BUSN1011 Accounting For Managers (4.5 units)
BUSN1022 Marketing Principles (4.5 units)
SOCI2025 Sociological Research: Design, Methods and Ethics (4.5 units)
Plus 4.5 units of second year elective topics
18 units comprising:
TOUR2101 Place, Culture and Tourism (4.5 units)
TOUR2103 Event Design and Management (4.5 units)
TOUR3106 Tourism Business Planning and Innovation (4.5 units)
GEOG2142 Environment, Economy and Culture (4.5 units)
TOUR3101 Contemporary Issues in Tourism and Events (4.5 units)
TOUR3113 Sustainable Tourism Planning and Development (4.5 units)
plus 9 units of topics from the following list:

# Students who wish to study a 22.5 unit language minor sequence (Chinese, French, Indonesian, Italian, Modern Greek or Spanish) are permitted to complete one first level elective topic (4.5 units), and one second or third level elective topic (4.5 units).
