The combined degrees program of Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, Bachelor of Criminology (Honours) requires the completion of a minimum of 216 units of study.
Students enrolled in a combined degree program must complete the full program specified within the combined program for each degree before they can graduate with either award.
Students who commence, but subsequently do not wish to complete, the combined degrees program may be eligible to transfer to either the Bachelor of Criminology (Honours), Bachelor of Criminology or Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice programs and to receive credit for some or all of the topics already completed.
For admission to the program, students must apply for admission to the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice combined degrees through SATAC.
Eligible students who decide to take up the combined degrees program in a subsequent year will be required to apply via university internal transfer, for admission to the Bachelor of Criminology (Honours).
Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Criminology may be eligible to transfer to the Bachelor of Criminology (Honours) combined degree if they have achieved a GPA of at least 5.25 after completion of 36 or 72 units of the degree. Under exceptional circumstances and subject to specific conditions, the Dean (Education) may invite other students to transfer.
To qualify for the combined degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, Bachelor of Criminology (Honours) a student must complete the following program of study with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic:
Students must normally have completed a minimum of 108 units in the combined degrees, including 45 units in the Bachelor of Criminology (Honours) component as specified in years 1 to 3 below, and have achieved a GPA of 5.25 or higher in the 108 units to enter the fourth year of the Bachelor of Criminology (Honours). Those who do not meet this requirement will exit with the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, Bachelor of Criminology on completion of 135 units as specified in the course rule for the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice and 45 units in the Criminology component as specified in years 1 to 3 of the programs of study below.
To qualify for the Bachelor of Criminology (Honours) a student must complete 81 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic. This must include:

CRIM3401 Criminology in Practice (4.5 units)
CRIM3402 Advanced Research Methods and Analysis (4.5 units)
Select 4.5 units from the following suggested elective topics or any other Level 3 elective topics from across the University where requisites are met:
