The educational aims of this honours program are to support students in their development of advanced professional knowledge and skills relating to the environmental sciences, geography and environmental manangement. It prepares students for ongoing professional development, for further study in environmental or geographical fields, or in another science or non-science related discipline or for a career in a related field or in other areas where the range of skills and knowledge acquired is needed or desirable.
In particular this course concentrates through the research project in a particular area such as coastal management, environmental management, human and physical geography, ocean and climate sciences, hydrology, environmental hydrology and water resources, environmental health and food safety, population issues, GIS, and sustainable development.
On completion of the program, students will be able to:
