The Honours Program in Theology aims to enable students to deepen their knowledge and skills developed through completion of the Bachelor of Arts (Theology) or equivalent degree, build high-level skills in relevant research methodologies, provide students with a thorough understanding of the ethical considerations of research, and provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to research and present an extended piece of research, both orally and in writing, in theology.
On completion of the Honours Program in Theology, students will be able to:
To qualify for the Honours Program in Theology, a student must complete 36 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.
Not all topics are necessarily available in a given year.

HASS7010A Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Honours Thesis (4.5/18 units)
HASS7010B Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Honours Thesis (4.5/18 units)
HASS7010C Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Honours Thesis (4.5/18 units)
HASS7010D Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Honours Thesis (4.5/18 units)
HASS7003 Understanding Research Methods in Humanities and Social Sciences (4.5 units)*
Plus 9 units from the following topics:
CREA7002 Professional Practice for the Creative Arts (4.5 units)
ENGL7702 Reading Literature, Reading the World (4.5 units)
HASS7000 Industry or Community Placement in Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (4.5 units)
HASS7002 Honours Special Project in Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (4.5 units)

Or up to 9 units of honours appropriate topics with the approval of the honours co-ordinator.
