The Honours Program in Applied Linguistics aims to offer students opportunities to extend previous knowledge acquired at undergraduate level, in the field of Applied Linguistics studies.
It aims to critically evaluate complex ideas, concepts and approaches to Applied Linguistics research at an advanced level, extend students' ability to apply their conceptual knowledge of Applied Linguistics to practical linguistic problems at an advanced level, provide students with advanced vocational knowledge and abilities relevant to the language professional, and provide students with the necessary theoretical, methodological and analytical skills to create an extended piece of research.
At the completion of the Honours Program in Applied Linguistics, students will be able to:
To qualify for the Honours Program in Applied Linguistics a student must complete 36 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.
Not all topics are necessarily available in a given year.

**Students undertaking a creative work as part of thesis must select CREA7001 Exegesis
