The Diploma of Letters (Creative Enterprise) requires the equivalent of one year of full-time study. It is only offered as an exit award for students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Letters (Creative Enterprise). 
 
The stream undertaken by the student will be identified on the student’s transcript of academic record and on the parchment presented to the student on completion of the course.

Course aims

The course aims to: 

  • introduce students to the key concepts of cultural industries and creative enterprise
  • assist students to develop a basic level of understanding about the field of cultural industries and creative enterprise and the ability to recognise debates in the field.

Learning outcomes 

On the completion of the Diploma of Letters (Creative Enterprise), students are expected to be able to demonstrate:

  • the ability to apply integrated technical and theoretical cultural industries and creative enterprise concepts and debates
  • the ability to evaluate creative enterprise opportunities
  • the capacity to undertake skilled or paraprofessional work in the cultural industries and capacity for further learning in cultural industries and enterprise. 

Program of study

To qualify for the Diploma of Letters (Creative Enterprise), a student must complete 36 units according to the following program of study, with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic.

Not all topics are necessarily available in a given year.
