The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) requires 1 year of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is offered by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.
A student who has completed all the requirements of the Bachelor of Creative Arts, or another qualification which the Dean (Education) agrees is equivalent, may be accepted as a candidate for the Honours degree provided a sufficiently high standard has been achieved in fulfilling the requirements for the Bachelor's degree. Applicants must normally have achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.25 overall in the Bachelor of Creative Arts, or equivalent qualification, and meet the additional stream requirements specified below to be eligible to apply for entry.
Creative Writing
To proceed to Honours students normally are expected to have achieved grades of DN or better in at least 9 units of upper-level topics in the Creative Writing major sequence.
Dance
To proceed to Honours students normally are expected to have achieved grades of DN or better in the equivalent of 9 units of upper-level studies in the Dance stream.
Digital Media; Visual Effects and Entertainment Design
To proceed to Honours students normally are expected to have achieved grades of DN or better in the last 9 units of the Digital Media or Visual Effects and Entertainment Design stream and grades of DN or better in 9 units of second or third level digital media or visual effects and entertainment design core topics.
Drama Performance
To proceed to Honours students are normally expected to have achieved 9 units of DN or better and 4.5 units of CR or better in third Year Drama Performance topics.
Enterprise
To proceed to Honours students are normally expected to achieved 9 units of DN or better and 4.5 units of CR or better in third year core topics.
Fashion
To proceed to Honours students normally are expected to have achieved grades of DN or better in at least 9 units of upper-level FSHN topics in the Fashion stream.
Screen
To proceed to Honours students are normally expected to have achieved grades of DN or better in the last 9 units of the Screen and Media major and grades of DN or better in 9 units of second or third level screen production topics.
Visual Arts
To proceed to Honours students normally are expected to have achieved grades of DN or better in at least 9 units of upper-level VISA topics in the Visual Arts stream.
