The Psychological Science Pathway is offered as part of the Bachelor of Arts and requires one year of full-time study (or the equivalent part time). The Pathway is offered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. Upon successful completion of the one year Psychological Science Pathway, students may transfer to the Bachelor of Psychological Science.
The minimum requirements for consideration for entry to all undergraduate courses are specified in detail in the University Entry Requirements.
Students who have completed any of the pathway topics in psychology or equivalent would normally be required to have achieved a grade of credit or better in those topics to be considered for entry.
After successful completion of the one year Psychological Science Pathway, students will transfer to one of the following courses:
Students who do not meet this criterion for guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Psychological Science may apply to transfer into this degree via the normal competitive admission process.
COMS1001 Academic and Professional Communication (4.5 units)*
PSYC1101 Psychology 1 A (4.5 units)
PSYC1102 Psychology 1 B (4.5 units)
PSYC1106 Research Methods 1 (4.5 units)
plus
9 units of topics from a BA Minor sequence;
and 9 units of electives
* Under certain conditions the core topic COMS1001 may be replaced with an alternative topic. See COMS1001 for further details.
