The Graduate Certificate in Education (Gifted Education) is an 18-unit program offered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work and is available in a combination of on-campus school holiday intensives and online delivery. The program can be completed entirely by distance mode in two years of part-time study.
Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
The Graduate Certificate in Education is professionally-oriented and is intended for educators who have an interest in expanding their knowledge, skills and practice in the area of gifted education.

Credit may be granted, on application, for topics completed or being undertaken towards another relevant Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters degree, or for accredited professional development.
To qualify for the Graduate Certificate in Education (Gifted Education) specialisation, a student must complete 18 units with a grade of P or NGP, or better, in topics listed below. Two topics are offered each semester, so students may complete the course in one or two years of part-time study.
