Adelta Legal Family Law Prize
  • The value of the prize shall be up to $350.
  • The prize shall be awarded annually for studies in the previous years.
  • The prize shall be awarded annually to the student who is enrolled in any one of the Bachelor of Laws and/or Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice courses in the relevant year and who has completed the topic LLAW3243 Family Law with the highest total mark received in the topic.
  • In the event of two or more students receiving the same total mark for LLAW3243 Family Law, the College of Business, Government and Law Examinations Board may select one only of those students to receive the prize on the basis of their academic record in the course as a whole, or may determine that the prize and its value be shared equally between or among the students.
  • The Board shall determine the eligibility and ranking of the students, and judge whether a candidate is of sufficient merit to warrant the award of the prize.
  • There will be no award for the years in which LLAW3243 Family Law is not offered.

Australasian College of Health Service Management Prizes (Australia-wide)

Students with high grade point averages may be nominated for the following ACHSM prizes which are offered each year:

  1. Anthony Suleau Prize for the best Grade Point Average in a postgraduate diploma course in Health Management.

    A year's membership to ACHSM worth $290 and a certificate
  2. Ian Brand Prize for the best Grade Point Average in a masters course in Health Management.
Australasian College of Health Service Management, SA Branch, Health Management Prize
  • The prize shall be known as the Australasian College of Health Service Management, SA Branch, Health Management Prize.
  • The prize may be awarded annually by the Health Care Management Examinations Board, on the recommendation of the Head of Health Care Management and the team of Health Care Management staff involved in supervising health care management projects and research.
  • The prize shall be awarded to the graduating student in the Master of Health Administration or the Master of Science (Health Administration) [ie, one prize will cover both awards] who has completed at least half of the award at Flinders University and has produced the best management project or thesis, where this is a significant component of the award.
  • The prize shall consist of one year's membership of ACHSM (valued at around $350), a certificate and a cheque to the value of $150. In the event of a tie, the prize will go to the student with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) for the course, or an alternative criterion as determined by the staff of Health Care Management.
  • Both full-time and part-time students are eligible for the prize.
  • No award shall be made if the Examinations Board deems that there is no candidate of sufficient merit.

Australian Institute of Administrative Law Prize for Administrative Law: Merits Review
  1. The value of the prize shall be up to $150 and one year’s membership of the Australian Institute of Administrative Law.
  2. The prize shall be awarded annually for a period of five years, commencing in 2016 for studies in the previous year.
  3. The prize shall be awarded to the student who is enrolled in any one of the Bachelor of Laws and/or Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice courses in the relevant year and who has completed the topic LLAW2223 Administrative Law:  Merits Review with the highest total mark received in the topic.
  4. In the event of two or more students receiving the same total mark for LLAW2223 Administrative Law: Merits Review, the College of Business, Government and Law Examinations Board will select one only of those students to receive the prize on the basis of their academic record in the course as a whole.
  5. The Board shall determine the eligibility and ranking of the students, and judge whether a candidate is of sufficient merit to warrant the award of the prize.

  3. The prize shall be awarded to the student who is enrolled in any one of the Bachelor of Laws and/or Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice courses in the relevant year and who has completed the topic LLAW1224 Advanced Contract [Writing II] with the highest total mark received in the topic.
  4. In the event of two or more students receiving the same total mark for LLAW1224 Advanced Contract [Writing II], the Examinations Board of the Flinders Law School may select one only of those students to receive the prize on a basis of their academic record in the course as a whole, or may determine that the prize and its value be shared equally between or among the students.

  1. The value of the prize shall be $200.
  2. The prize shall be awarded annually for a period of one year, commencing in 2017 for studies in the previous year.
  3. The prize shall be awarded to the student who is enrolled in any one of the Bachelor of Laws and/or Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice courses in the relevant year and who has completed the topic LLAW3245 Immigration and Refugee Law with the highest total mark received in the topic.
  4. In the event of two or more students receiving the same total mark for LLAW3245 Immigration and Refugee Law, the Examinations Board of the Flinders Law School may select one only of those students to receive the prize on a basis of their academic record in the course as a whole, or may determine that the prize and its value be shared equally between or among the students.
  5. The Board shall determine the eligibility and ranking of the students, and judge whether a candidate is of sufficient merit to warrant the award of the prize.  There will be no award in the years that LLAW3245 Immigration and Refugee Law is not offered.

Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Administration
  • The prize shall be known as the Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Administration.
  • The prize shall be awarded annually by the Health Care Management Examinations Board.
  • The prize shall be awarded to the graduating student in the Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Administration who has completed all 18 units of the award at Flinders University and has achieved the higest Grade Point Average throughout the course.
  • The prize shall consist of a certificate and a payment to the value of $200. In the event of a tie, the prize will go to the student with the highest aggregate mark for the course.
  • No award shall be made if the Examiniations Board deems that there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
Graduate Diploma in Health Administration Prize
  • The prize shall be known as the Graduate Diploma in Health Administration Prize.
  • The prize shall be awarded annually by the Health Care Management Examinations Board.
  • The prize shall consist of a certificate and a cheque to the value of $200.
  • The prize shall be awarded to the graduating student in the Graduate Diploma in Health
  • Administration, who has completed at least 18 units of the award at Flinders University and has achieved the highest Grade Point Average throughout the course.
