This topic will further develop the themes and ideas covered in previous complementary topics. Students will become familiar with conventional scientific methods and tools (e.g. literature reviews, hypotheses, models, data collection, clinical trials, experimentation and analysis) with an emphasis on the fit-for-purpose evaluation of each. Different types, environments and purposes of scientific activity will be explored as will a range of national and international regulatory and representative scientific bodies.
