Topic description
In this topic students will research, develop and present a pitch from a choice of presented briefs. Teams will need to work both collaboratively, and within their own specialist field, to research genre and materials to develop an industry standard pitch. On completion of the topic, one pitch will be selected for the production project.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- Further enhance the ability of students to work collaboratively in teams to research and develop creative ideas, assets, and technical requirements
- Provide opportunities for students to select and research a specific story in order to develop a team pitch
- Equip students with the skills and knowledge to research and analyse style, genre, software and/or materials
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
- Investigate, identify and implement appropriate creative and/or technical solutions for a creative project
- Research, plan, negotiate and develop a story to an industry standard pitch as part of a creative team
- Demonstrate high-level and industry standard communication skills in the delivery of a professional pitch
- Communicate specialist creative and/or technical concepts to a range of audiences, including clients
