Topic description
In this topic, students consider issues relating to Italian history, culture and society as illustrated in a selection of authentic written, aural and/or visual texts.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- Expose students to past and contemporary cultural and societal issues
- Enhance students' ability to understand and discuss a range of texts
- Develop critical and analytical skills through the study of Italian texts
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
- Read and discuss authentic written, aural and/or visual texts of moderate difficulty
- Identify and discuss socio-cultural issues and use them for the interpretation and comparison of texts
