^ HASS7010A - Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Honours Thesis (4.5/18 units)
The Research Project topics are taught and assessed as a continuum
The thesis is an opportunity for Honours students to engage in a piece of sustained and specific research. The product of this research is a thesis of up to 18,000 words or equivalent artistic practice.
This topic aims to:
Deepen participants’ understanding of critical and/or creative methodologies relevant to their area of specialisation
Extend students’ ability to produce an extended piece of research
Develop Honours level research and communication skills.
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic, students will be expected to be able to:
Defend their capacity to undertake independent research to a high level
Produce a major research project within their area of specialisation, including interpreting and applying ethical considerations
Integrate sophisticated knowledge in their area of specialisation, including relevant methodologies.
