Topic description
Health status is a broad term that refers to the level of health of an individual, group or population. This topic provides students with a fundamental examination of the challenges to health status in later life. Students will gain an insight into the impact of the social determinants of health and of health promotion on health status in later life

The aim of this topic is to examine physiological changes accompanying ageing, common health issues, health literacy, the social determinants of health and the impact on health status in later life to provide students with the fundamental understanding necessary to support healthy ageing.
