To qualify for the Master of Social Work (Qualified Social Worker Entry), a student must complete a minimum of 36 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.
Not all topics are necessarily available in a given year.
Should a compulsory topic be unavailable owing to exceptional circumstances, an alternative will be approved.

And select seven topics (31.5 units) from second level topics of the following:

SOAD9059 Trauma and Resilience (4.5 units)
SOAD9060 Social Work Theories (4.5 units)
SOAD9103 Mental Health through the Lifecourse (4.5 units)
SOAD9110 Complexities in Work with Children and Families (4.5 units)
SOAD9111 Social Issues and Social Policy (4.5 units)
SOAD9207 Integrity in Social Work Practice (4.5 units)
SOAD9213 Social Work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People (4.5 units)
SOAD9217 Social Work in the Disability Sector (4.5 units)
SOAD9219 Social Work in the Justice System (4.5 units)
SOAD9226 Social Work with Groups and Communities (4.5 units)
